Install and get started
Chore Team requires an iPhone with iOS 26 or later. During the beta, install Apple’s TestFlight app and open the Chore Team invitation below. If no build is available, beta review may still be pending or the testing group may be full.
Create a household, choose your name and colour, and add the people who live with you. Then create rooms and tasks. There is no email registration or password.
Join or use another iPhone
Ask someone in your household to share its invitation from Settings → Invitation & access. Open the full link on your iPhone and select your profile. If you installed the app after opening the link, reopen the original link.
If the link opens a web page, choose “Open in Chore Team”, or copy the full link and paste it into Join household in the app. The part after # is required.
You can use the same profile on more than one iPhone. If the invitation was replaced, ask for the current one. If all devices and the invitation are lost, there is no email or password recovery.
Tasks or widgets are not up to date
Open Chore Team with an internet connection and check that you have selected the correct household. Refresh the task list. While the app is active, it also checks periodically for changes.
You can read saved tasks and queue completions offline. Pending completions sync when a connection returns. If someone already completed an occurrence, review the conflict in the app; use “Complete again” only if you really did the work again.
Widgets share household data with the app, but iOS controls background refresh timing. If a widget looks stale, open the app to refresh. Creating or editing rooms, tasks, and household members requires a connection.
Avoid reinstalling the app as a first troubleshooting step: unsynced completions can be lost. Keep a current household invitation before changing devices or removing the app.
Dates, points, and corrections
A repeating task’s next due date follows its most recent actual completion date in the household time zone. Completing a weekly task on Monday makes the next due date the following Monday, even if it used to be Wednesday.
Choose Today, Yesterday, or another past date when completing a task. Future completion dates are not allowed. An older backdated entry does not move the schedule behind a newer completion.
Points go to the completing profile, even when a task was assigned to someone else. Scores use the work date and the task’s points at completion. Later edits do not rewrite earned points. You can correct or undo entries in completion history.
Control access or remove your data
In Settings → Invitation & access, replace a link to stop new joins with the old invitation. Already connected devices keep access. Reset access to revoke every other device and replace the invitation.
Disconnect this iPhone removes only this device’s access. Leave household archives your profile and history and revokes its devices. Delete profile additionally removes its name and colour, while past contributions remain. The last active member can delete the entire household.
Removing the app does not delete the household. For privacy requests, copy Settings → Your data → Copy support reference and email support@chore.team. This reference does not grant access. Do not send your invitation or credentials. Updated versions also offer Erase profile and contributions; shared text can require a separate support request. If you have lost access, describe the records instead.
Report a problem
Email support@chore.team or use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight. Tell us what you expected, what happened, and the steps that led to it. Include your iPhone model, iOS version, and Chore Team version/build from TestFlight.
A screenshot can help, but hide names, household details, and anything private. Do not include household invitation links, device credentials, passwords, or an entire household database. If we need more information, we will explain what is needed.
Suggestions, translation corrections, and accessibility feedback are welcome too.
